NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
The traditional role of the trading company was to act as a window or showroom to visiting buyers who were looking for standard product made by a variety of manufacturers. Today there has been a shift by retailers, away from selling 'standard' product to selling range merchandise'. Given this shift, traditional trading companies no longer fulfil the requirements of their customers. Farfalla was set up in recognition of this change with an I.O.P.M. philosophy of working with our customers to put together their product or range requirements. We have subsequently refined the process further by following up product development into materials review, mold manufacture, approval sample submission, pre-production samples, factory audits - in fact everything that our customers need to take a development project from concept to implementation.

With an extensive database of over 800 carefully selected suppliers from around China and South East Asia, Farfalla is capable of sourcing your needs whatever they are. Current projects we are working on range from egg boxes to computer peripherals, from bespoke cosmetics-packaging to artificial flowers.

Quality Control
In a similar way to sourcing, Quality Control is also a multifaceted operation. For Farfalla quality control starts with auditing the factory's capability to produce the product. it then progresses into an assessment of the management systems in place within the factory to control the production process. It also encompasses other fields such as workers welfare and safety, location and raw materials handling procedures.
In addition to production line monitoring, our team of AQL Grade 2 qualified inspectors carry out
social audits and production capability audits prior to factory approval. They
carry out production sampling, check approval samples, on-line and pre-shipment inspections on all goods. Most importantly our own in house systems require the manufacturer to sign off all
stages of the production process
