OUR STAFF
* Our Merchandise Department comprises of both local and expatriate merchandisers.  Between them they can speak six languages.  They all have solid experience of sourcing products not only from China but throughout the entire South East Asian Region.
* Our Shipping Department works closely with both the Shipping Companies and with Freight Forwarders.  This has enabled us to develop a strong working relationship for our customers' benefit.
* Our Quality Control Department staff have, in addition to formal qualification and training, solid experience of working with factories all around the region.  The object is to ensure that our customers can look forward to receiving their goods with confidence.
OUR LOCATION
Hong Kong is situated at the mouth of the Pearl River Delta and is a natural deep-water port.  It is the ONLY Chinese deep-water port that is capable of servicing the South China Coastal Region.  From Hainan to North of Shanghai - goods coming both into and out of China have to come through Hong Kong's busy container terminals.  Infrastructure developments are already in place to ensure that the HK's container terminals are equipped to handle the sheer volume of traffic coming out of the region
Hong Kong is one of the world's leading port in terms of container throughput and turnaround efficiency.  Currently the average turnaround time for container vessels is about 12 hours. This operational efficiency is a contributing factor in the continuing success of Hong Kong's as a trading entrepot and this was one of the contributing factors in the decision to establish Farfalla Ltd here in Hong Kong

OUR FOUNDER
Farfalla Ltd. was founded by Ms Grace Leishman in 1989.  Ms Leishman has vast experience of sourcing product from the Far East. - Prior to living in Hong Kong she ran her own printing and packaging company.  Subsequently she worked for a number of retailing operations at a senior level, latterly in the marketing department of a large UK retailer.
It was in this position, controlling a team of buyers who were involved in sourcing product ranges from the Far East, that she came to recognise that there was an opportunity for a bespoke sourcing company. It was from this recognition that Farfalla was formed, initially as an 'informed' trading company, but today offers an IOPM service to its customers around the world.
